Connecting TikTok Shop

Connect your TikTok Shop to sell products directly through TikTok.

Requirements

To connect TikTok Shop to ShipWave, you need:
  • TikTok Shop seller account – Apply at seller.tiktok.com if you haven't already
  • Approved shop – Your shop must be approved and active
  • US, UK, or Southeast Asia market – TikTok Shop is currently available in select markets

Step-by-step connection

  1. Go to Admin → Marketplace → Channels and click New Channel
  2. Select TikTok Shop as the platform
  3. Choose which Shopify store to use as the product source
  4. Name your channel (e.g., "TikTok Shop US")
  5. Click Create Channel, then Connect
  6. You'll be redirected to TikTok's seller authorization page
  7. Sign in with your TikTok seller credentials
  8. Select which shop to connect (if you have multiple)
  9. Review and accept the permissions
  10. Click Authorize
  11. You'll be redirected back to ShipWave with the channel now connected

Multi-shop support

TikTok Shop supports multiple shops per seller account. When you authorize, you select which shop to connect. ShipWave stores the shop ID and shop cipher (an encrypted shop identifier) for API calls. To connect additional shops, create additional channels and authorize each one.

TikTok Shop listing requirements

TikTok Shop has specific listing requirements:
  • Product images – High-quality images required (square format recommended)
  • Video – Product videos are optional but highly recommended for engagement
  • Category – Products must be assigned to a TikTok category
  • Description – Clear product description required
  • Size chart – Required for apparel and footwear

TikTok content policies

TikTok Shop has strict content policies. Your products must comply with:
  • TikTok's Community Guidelines
  • Product listing policies (no prohibited items)
  • Accurate product representations
Listings that violate policies may be rejected or removed.

Troubleshooting

Error: "Shop not found"
  • Ensure your TikTok Shop is approved and active
  • Try selecting a different shop during authorization
Error: "Region not supported"
  • TikTok Shop is only available in select markets
  • Your shop region must match where you're selling
Authorization failed
  • Clear cookies and try again
  • Ensure you're signing into your seller account (not personal TikTok)
