Connecting eBay
Connect your eBay seller account to list products and manage orders.
Requirements
- An active eBay seller account – Personal or business account both work
- Account in good standing – Suspended or restricted accounts cannot authorize third-party apps
- Payment method on file – eBay requires a valid payment method for seller accounts
Step-by-step connection
- Go to Admin → Marketplace → Channels and click New Channel
- Select eBay as the platform
- Choose which Shopify store to use as the product source
- Name your channel (e.g., "eBay Store")
- Click Create Channel, then Connect
- You'll be redirected to eBay's sign-in page
- Sign in with your eBay credentials
- Review and accept the permissions ShipWave is requesting
- Click Agree to authorize
- You'll be redirected back to ShipWave with the channel now connected

eBay item specifics
- Shopify "Size" option → eBay "Size" item specific

eBay shipping profiles
- Use your default eBay shipping profile (set in your eBay account)
- Specify a shipping profile ID in the listing settings
- Set handling time per-listing (1-30 business days)
Troubleshooting
- Make sure you're signing into your eBay seller account, not a buyer-only account
- Check that your account is in good standing
- eBay tokens expire after 18 months. Reconnect the channel to refresh.
- Check eBay's "Selling" tab for draft or error listings
- Review the sync log in ShipWave for error details
