Why Businesses Choose This Feature

Multi-Group Pricing

Create unlimited customer groups — wholesale, VIP, distributor, regional — each with their own pricing rules. Assign customers to groups and their prices update everywhere automatically.

Automated Checkout Discounts

Wholesale prices apply at checkout through Shopify Functions — no discount codes, no manual adjustments. Customers see their negotiated prices and check out seamlessly.

Full B2B Toolkit

Volume tiers with quantity breaks, net payment terms, product locking by group, draft order support, CSV import/export, and a test mode to validate everything before going live.

How Wholesale Pricing Works

1

Create Customer Groups

Define groups like "Wholesale," "Distributor," or "VIP." Assign customers individually or import them in bulk via CSV.

2

Set Pricing Rules & Tiers

Configure percentage discounts, fixed amounts, or fixed prices per group. Add volume tiers so customers get better pricing at higher quantities.

3

Prices Apply Automatically

When a wholesale customer checks out, Shopify Functions apply the correct pricing at the checkout level — no codes needed, no workarounds.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do wholesale prices apply at checkout?

ShipWave uses Shopify Functions to apply wholesale pricing directly at the checkout level. When a customer in a wholesale group checks out, their group pricing is automatically applied — no discount codes or workarounds needed.

Can a customer belong to multiple groups?

Yes. A customer can be assigned to multiple groups. When groups overlap, the best price for the customer is automatically applied at checkout.

What is the wholesale application system?

New customers can apply for wholesale access through a built-in application form. You review applications in ShipWave and approve or deny them. Approved customers are automatically added to the appropriate group.

How do volume tiers work?

Volume tiers let you set quantity breaks — for example, 10+ units at 15% off, 50+ units at 25% off, 100+ units at 35% off. The best applicable tier is automatically selected based on the quantity in the cart.

What does product locking do?

Product locking lets you restrict specific products or collections to certain customer groups. Locked products are only visible and purchasable by customers in the assigned groups.

Can I test my pricing rules before going live?

Yes. ShipWave includes a test mode that lets you validate all your pricing rules, volume tiers, and group assignments before enabling them for real customers.

Do wholesale prices show on the storefront?

You can use Shopify theme blocks to display wholesale prices on your storefront for logged-in wholesale customers. Regular customers see standard pricing.

How do net payment terms work?

Net payment terms let you offer deferred payment to wholesale customers — for example, Net 30 or Net 60. Terms are configurable per customer group and applied when wholesale customers place orders.
