Switching between Brands in the admin header
How org-level staff jump between client Brands or view aggregated data across all of them.
Where the brand switcher lives
If you're signed in as ORG_ADMIN or ORG_OPERATOR, you'll see a brand picker in the top-left of the admin header, just to the right of the ShipWave logo. Click it to drop down a list of every Brand in your Organization, plus an All brands option at the top. Brand-scoped users (BRAND_ADMIN, BRAND_VIEWER) don't see the switcher at all—they're locked to their assigned Brand.
Single-brand view
Picking a specific Brand from the switcher pins the admin to that Brand's context. Every page—Orders, Products, Customers, Returns, Settings—filters to just that Brand. The header shows the Brand's name and logo so you always know which one you're acting on. This is the view to use when you're actually doing work for a specific client: shipping their orders, editing their products, replying to their support cases.
All brands aggregate view
Picking All brands shows every Brand's data combined. The Orders page lists orders from every Brand with a Brand column added; the Shipments page does the same. Dashboard widgets sum across Brands so you see total org-wide volume. The All-brands view is read-mostly: you can ship from it, but actions like editing a product or replying to a support thread are disabled to avoid accidentally acting on the wrong Brand. Switch to a single Brand to make edits.
Keyboard shortcuts
Press
Cmd+K (Mac) or Ctrl+K (Windows) anywhere in the admin to open the command palette. Type a Brand name to jump straight to it without using the dropdown. The palette also remembers your last three Brands for quick switching when you bounce between clients.URL routing
Brand context is encoded in the URL.
/admin/orders shows your current Brand's orders. /admin/orders?brand=acme jumps to Acme's orders directly. /admin/orders?brand=all shows the aggregate. Share these URLs with teammates so they land on the same view you're looking at.FAQs
Why don't I see the brand switcher?
Either your Organization only has one Brand (the switcher hides itself in that case) or your role is brand-scoped (BRAND_ADMIN, BRAND_VIEWER, PICKER). Org-level roles see the switcher when 2+ Brands exist.
Does the switcher remember my last Brand?
Yes. Your last selection persists across sessions, so you log back in to whichever Brand (or all-brands view) you were last using.
Can I lock myself to one Brand temporarily?
Yes. Pick the Brand and bookmark the page—all your bookmarked URLs will keep you scoped. You can also pin a Brand via Admin → Profile → Default Brand so new sessions start there.
