Tracking & Returns
Tracking shipments
Monitor your shipments and set up branded tracking pages for your customers.
Viewing shipment status
Go to Admin → Shipments to see all your shipments with real-time tracking status. Each shipment shows the carrier, service level, tracking number, current status (label created, in transit, out for delivery, delivered), and estimated delivery date. Click any shipment to see the full tracking history with timestamps.
Tracking updates
ShipWave receives real-time tracking updates from carriers via webhooks. When a status changes (e.g., package scanned at facility, out for delivery, delivered), the shipment record updates immediately. You can also see tracking events on the shipment detail page.
Branded tracking pages
Create a custom tracking page with your logo and brand colors. Go to Admin → Settings → Tracking Page to configure: upload your logo, set brand colors, and choose a custom slug. Your branded tracking page is accessible at
shipwave.app/track/[tracking-number]. Share this URL with customers instead of the carrier's generic tracking page for a consistent brand experience.Tracking emails
ShipWave can send tracking notification emails to your customers when shipment status changes. These emails include the tracking number, carrier, current status, and a link to the tracking page. Emails are sent for key events: label created, in transit, out for delivery, and delivered.
FAQs
How long does it take for tracking to update after creating a label?
The tracking number is active immediately after label creation. The first scan event (accepted by carrier) typically appears within 24 hours after you drop off or the carrier picks up the package.
Can I customize the branded tracking page?
Yes. You can upload your logo, set primary and secondary colors, and add custom CSS for full control over the tracking page appearance.
