Store Integrations
Connecting your Shopify store
Import orders from Shopify and sync tracking numbers back automatically.
How to connect Shopify
Go to Admin → Stores and click Connect Store. Select Shopify and enter your Shopify store URL (e.g., yourstore.myshopify.com). You'll be redirected to Shopify to authorize ShipWave. Click Install to grant the required permissions. ShipWave needs access to read orders, products, and inventory, and to write fulfillment information.
What happens after connecting
Once connected, ShipWave automatically imports your unfulfilled orders. They appear in Admin → Orders ready for label creation. New orders from Shopify are synced in real time via webhooks. Your products and inventory levels are also synced for use with the ShipWave Channels.
Automatic tracking sync
When you create a shipping label for a Shopify order in ShipWave, the tracking number and carrier are automatically synced back to Shopify. The order is marked as fulfilled in Shopify, and your customer receives the standard Shopify shipping confirmation email with tracking information.
Managing multiple Shopify stores
You can connect multiple Shopify stores to ShipWave. Each store's orders appear separately in the orders queue, and you can filter by store. Go to Admin → Stores to see all connected stores and manage their connections.
FAQs
What Shopify permissions does ShipWave need?
ShipWave requests read access to orders, products, inventory, and locations, and write access to fulfillments (to sync tracking numbers). ShipWave does not modify your products, prices, or store settings.
Will existing orders be imported?
Yes. When you first connect, ShipWave imports your recent unfulfilled orders. Historical fulfilled orders are not imported since they've already been shipped.
Can I disconnect my Shopify store?
Yes. Go to Admin → Stores, find your Shopify store, and click Disconnect. You can also uninstall the ShipWave app from your Shopify admin. Disconnecting stops order syncing but does not affect any labels you've already created.
