Subscription plans and what they unlock

Five tiers from Free to Enterprise, with monthly label allowances and feature gates that scale as you grow.

The five plans

ShipWave has two separate things people call “pricing,” and they do not overlap.

1. Shipping is free forever. Unlimited labels, unlimited warehouses, unlimited connected stores, no monthly fee and no volume minimum. You pay only for the labels you buy, at discounted rates up to 54% off retail.

2. Everything else is priced per module. You enable the modules you want and pay only for those:
  • ShipWave Channels — first marketplace channel free, then $15/mo per channel or $49/mo for every channel
  • Returns Automation — $29/mo
  • Wholesale B2B — $29/mo
  • Hazmat & Dangerous Goods — $19/mo
  • Recovery & Audit Suite — no monthly fee, 25% of what we actually recover for you
  • Freight & LTL — included free
Paid modules include a 14-day free trial, and you can cancel any module at any time from Settings → Modules.

Fraud Suite is the one exception, because it is priced by decision volume rather than a flat fee: Free (100 decisions/mo), Starter $12 (1,000), Growth $29 (5,000), Scale $149 (25,000), Enterprise (custom). Those plan tiers gate fraud decisions only — they never limit your labels, warehouses, stores, or marketplace channels.

What each plan unlocks

The plan controls feature gates throughout the app. On Free, you'll see locked tabs in the sidebar for marketplace channels and forecasting—clicking shows an upgrade prompt. On Growth, those are unlocked but marketing campaigns are not. Most users hit Growth within their first month and stay there for a long time.

Self-serve billing via Stripe

Manage your subscription at Admin → Settings → Billing. The "Manage subscription" button opens the Stripe Customer Portal, where you can change plans, update payment methods, view invoices, or cancel. Plan changes prorate automatically. Downgrades take effect at the end of the current billing period; upgrades happen immediately.

What happens when you hit your label limit

Label purchases on a plan with a monthly cap return HTTP 402 Payment Required when the cap is reached. The UI prompts you to upgrade. Labels you've already purchased remain valid—the gate is on new purchases only. Cap resets on the first of each month.

Enterprise inquiries

For volumes above 10,000 labels/month, or to talk through your compliance and security review requirements, contact us at sales@shipwave.app. Enterprise contracts include volume pricing, custom SLAs, and dedicated migration support.

FAQs

Do labels carry over month to month?
No. Label allowances are use-it-or-lose-it per calendar month. We don't roll over unused labels because it would complicate quota math; instead, we recommend right-sizing your plan to your actual volume.
Can I switch plans mid-month?
Yes. Upgrades take effect immediately and you're prorated. Downgrades take effect at the next billing cycle so you don't lose access mid-month.
Are there setup fees?
No. No setup fees, no contract minimums, no overage fees on metered plans (we just stop at the cap).
Is there an annual discount?
Yes. Paying annually saves you 20% across Starter, Growth, and Scale. Enterprise is always annual by default.
